Uber Voluntarily Protects Sierra Gorda’s Biodiversity.
In November 2024 Uber announced its commitment to the regeneration of the country’s natural heritage by joining the “Carbono Biodiverso” project, developed by the Sierra Gorda Ecological Group (GESG).
Uber will support this initiative through a quarterly investment aimed at enhancing the carbon sequestration capacity and ecosystem value of the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve. This investment is expected to promote the replication of this model in other regions and contribute to the development of local protocols that enable landowners to receive payments for carbon sequestration, fostering a positive cycle of environmental conservation and economic growth for local communities.

If you choose to offset via the Querétaro Seal, you will also receive a certificate that, depending on the compensation amount, can reduce up to 20% of your emission tax obligations.
